These terms of use govern the use of the MedGlas application. By using the application, the user confirms that they are authorised to use the service within their practice, institution or another lawful professional purpose.

## Purpose of the service

MedGlas is an assistive tool for turning speech into text and drafting clinical notes. The service is not a medical device, does not make diagnoses, does not make treatment decisions and does not replace the doctor.

## Professional review

The user is always responsible for reviewing, correcting and approving every transcript and note draft before it is saved, sent or used in medical records. Generated content may contain errors, omissions or inaccurate wording.

## Consent and identifying data

The user must ensure a lawful basis for recording and processing the conversation, including informing the patient and obtaining consent where required. The user must not run the ambient scribe while the patient’s name, national identification number, date of birth, address or other direct identifiers are being said, unless there is a clear need and a lawful basis.

## Prohibited use

The service may not be used for unauthorised recording, processing data without a lawful basis, attempts to bypass limits, automated load on the system, misuse of trial accounts, or entering data the user has no right to process.

## Account and access

The user is responsible for the security of their account and for all activity under their sign-in. Access may be limited or withdrawn if misuse, a security risk or a breach of these terms is suspected.

## Data processing and service providers

MedGlas uses contracted providers for infrastructure, authentication, billing, transcription and note drafting. The user accepts that data is processed to the extent needed to provide the service, with the technical and organisational measures described in the privacy policy.

## Availability and limitations

The service is provided with reasonable care but without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or fully accurate transcription. The user should have their own procedures for checking, backing up and storing final medical records.

## Clinic access

Clinic access may have limits on the number of recordings, transcription time or processing cost. MedGlas may temporarily refuse processing that exceeds the agreed limits.
